Eugenio Alvarez Dumont was a Spanish painter who was born in 1864. Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including ‘A la Playa’ sold at Christie’s New York ’19th Century European Art & Orientalist Art’ in 2007 for $26,400. The artist died in 1927.
His specialty was the historical themes with military and military scenes inspired by the War of Independence, as in the most characteristic of his style, Malasaña and his daughter beat against the French in one of the streets that go down from the park to the Saint Bernard.
